It's been a week, but Katie and Braydon have found their way back home!!! No, they were never lost, but I was with the house so quite!!! They had a fun week in Utah with time spent both with the Rogers' and the Moore's. Braydon was able to so have Easter Egg hunts with both families, getting spoiled with TONS of candy. One thing that Katie DID NOT LIKE about the trip was that Utah was FREEZING!!! She said that it even snowed on her and that she was glad we decided to move to Las Vegas to avoid the snow (I couldn't agree more with her considering that I SHOVEL the snow!!!)
We went to Exploration Park here in Mountains Edge for a huge Easter Egg Hunt. Braydon was able to participate in the 0-5 year old hunt. Half of the crowd (YES, it was PACKED) was asked to "Just let the kids go find the eggs!!!" This was the side Katie and Braydon was on, while I stayed in the Easter Bunny Picture line. Apparently, the other half of the crowd didn't hear the "ONLY KIDS" warning as the parents bolted with kids dragging in the grass behind them.
TOTAL MADNESS!!!
Kid's screaming, kid's pushing, kid's crying, kid's scared to death being in the middle of a field with a ton of stranger's. Mrs. HAWKEYES (Katie) last sight of her child and as soon as she found him, she took a straight shot to her boy!!!
We also went shopping for our own Easter gift and I took Katie to a Home Decoration store for her late (YES, I KNOW!!!!) Birthday gift. She bought more things to go on top of our cabinets in the kitchen and on top of our fridge. We also had delivered a new sofa with love seat and 2 end tables which we both love. They are smaller then our others but 10x softer. Our Easter Gift was a Outdoor Patio Set with 6 chairs and an umbrella. Our home is looking more and more like a home.
Sunday morning the Easter Bunny left eggs in our living room to find, a bucket full of toys and a Transformer that Braydon loved. We went to church in our new ward for the first time and it is VERY small. We then went to our friends our for more fun, food, and egg hunts. We have been busy these last few days.
P.S. MARCH MADNESS UPDATE: My bracket is falling apart. Thanks G-Town, Pittsburgh, Duke, 2 #12 seeds that won (I knew it was going to happen), all the other upsets that happened. Out of the first 32 team, I had 23 (72%). Out of the Sweet 16, I have 10 (63%) and out of next weeks Elite 8, I can only get 6 in (if I pick them all right), and only have 3 out of my Final Four left in (Again, thanks G-Town). More to come next week!!!
