Katie and I have being having a great time spending money for new toys for our house. We were able to drive to Utah last weekend. Of course we loved visiting with family but the main purpose of going was to shop. Katie was able to spend her Christmas gift from myself at Rod Works in Springville. My suggestion men, DON'T LET YOUR WIFE GO THERE WITHOUT SUPERVISION!!! Katie would have bought the entire store if I wasn't there to pull back the reins. She did spend more money then intended but she was happy and excited to have decorations for the house. She bought a mirror, candle holders, shelves, plate holder, and a wall decoration to go above our family pictures.
I then was able to go and buy a new TV. Not just any TV though. I bought a Sharp Aquos 52" LCD HDTV along with a Sharp Blu-Ray disc player. It was a deal that I could not pass up. The best part of the deal was that they gave the blu-ray for free and we qualified for the 18-months no interest. The only bad thing about the deal was that the TV was a floor model. They (Sears) didn't have any of the TV's that we wanted in stock considering the Superbowl was close and it was at the end of their Super Weekend Sale. They actually dropped the price of the TV by $500 and still gave us the free Blu-Ray disc player for free. We decided to buy the entended warrenty for 3 years because it was a floor model just in case anything happens in the next 3 years. The TV is HUGE!!! After getting it and putting it in place, I don't think we could have gone any bigger. 52" TV fits in our TV space just nicely. We updated our Cable service to HD and the picture is excellent!!!! I know, I know, I'm spoiled but I'm set for the next 3-5 years with our "Entertainment package!!!"
I also have a new job. I will be working at another Hospital on the weekends (to pay for my TV) at a "Sister" Hospital that just opened. I will actually get paid more working as a per diem (on call) then at my regular job, go figure!!!
We have a couple of parties this weekend. First, our Friends are having a "Mardi Gras" party on Saturday Night that we will be going to. Lastly, to celebrate our "New Toys", we will be hosting a Superbowl Party on Sunday with the same friends. We will let you know how our parties turn out in our next post.
Take a look at our Photo Album for pictures of our New Toys!!!

Since we don't have any Rogers living close to us, we had to throw our own Super Bowl party...luckily we also got a new HDTV and it was a gorgeous game! I can't believe how much HD makes a difference.
I hope you'll forgive me for buying an Xbox 360 instead of a Wii, but someday I'll get a Wii too and we'll play Madden online.
