I know, it's been awhile since my last entry. Things have been busy. School is starting to get more time consuming, but that shouldn't stop me from writing something at least once a week. We spent this last weekend in Las Vegas visiting some friends. I had the Thur. and Fri. off from school so we head to the Crane's house Wednesday night.
We meet up with Katie's mom for dinner at PF Changs because she was in town for a craftshow (which was a good selling point to get Katie to go to Vegas!!!) I highly recommend PF Changs if your into chinesse food. The next day we took Braydon down to the "Strip" to see some of the sights. We first went to the MGM casino. They have a lions in a glass cage where you can actually go in and have the lions walk on top of you. We then went to M&M World that was next door. Braydon of course loved it since he's a candy. We got to build a customized bag of m&m's that we let Braydon pick out the colors in the bag. We got 1 lb of candy for $9.00 (not a bargin at all!!!) but it's the experience, I guess. We also got him a stuffed m&m man dressed up as Darth Vader that he will not leave alone.
Friday night, Mike and I went out and hit the Casino's. We signed up and played in a texas hold'em tournament. It was a $60 entry fee that got you about $3500 in chips for the no-limit tournament. It had 137 people in it and I ended up finishing about 55th. Not bad for my first live tournament. It was a good experience. We then went to play a limit game in which I was able to double my $40 to $80. So basically for about the 7 hours I play texas hold'em, I only lost 20 bucks, which is not bad at all.
Saturday, Lorey and Katie went to the George Strait concert and had a great time, while Mike and I watch the children and played X-box. Sunday we left and make a stop at the Hoover Dam. That was a cool place to visit and look at how massive the dam is. We got home in time to watch the Superbowl. I didn't care who won but I was pulling for the Seahawks since they had never been there before.
We have a ton of pictures in the Photo Album (about 7-8 new folders) so check it out.
