First Day of School!!!

Braydon officially is a First Grader. He went to his first FULL day of school. I don't know who was more scarred, Braydon or Katie. He got to meet his new classmates and see old classmates (friends) at lunch time. I think he was more excited to see his friend Justin at lunch, then his whole day in class. He would only talk about Justin for the first 5 minutes after I arrived home from work. He only has 18 (including Braydon) kids in his class, which is about half of what he had last year (30 kids).

Katie and I are so proud of him and can't wait to see what he learns this year, Look in our picture album for pictures of his first and second day of school.

Introducing Indiana Braydon

Here He is, the One, the Only; INDIANA BRAYDON: (you may want you music up for this post)

Braydon has a new found love for Indiana Jones. The other day, he was playing and found my Australia hat, a little rope, and his Indy book and we decided to take some pictures of him. He loves to "crack his whip", look for treasure, and all other things Indiana Jones. Look at our photo album for all his pictures since our camera has decided to work again.

Today was the last day I have off to spend with Braydon until school starts. We decided to have a fun filled day with surprises for Braydon. We went to see the new movie Clone Wars. It was pretty good. It went into more details about the clone wars which starts at the end of Star Wars II and end in Star Wars III. We then surprised him by going to McDonald's so he could get a Star Wars toy in a kids meal. We then hit the pool to relax and enjoy some rays.

I can't believe he will beginning the 1st grade this year. Time sure has flown by.

WE ARE BUSY!!!

We have been EXTREMELY busy since Braydon finished school. Sorry that it's been so long but here is a quick recap:

End of July: We went to Utah to my family reunion and had a great time. Braydon loved playing with new friends (distant cousins somehow) and his cousins (Lanier kids). It actually felt nice and cool to us (mid 90's) while everyone else was dying of the heat. My dad and I took 3rd place in the Horseshoe tournament. I won an MP3 player as a Bingo prize. Katie was also able to buy some iron rod decorations for the outside/inside of our house during the Auction.

We then went to Heber so spent a few days with Katie's family. We even got to spent a morning at Jordanelle State Park. Braydon is truly a fish and would love to live in it 24-7.

First of August: Katie's little sister, Emily, came home with us and stayed for about a week. Katie and her spent most of the time reading, eating, shopping, and going to the movies. Since she has been gone, we have done nothing but watched the Olympics all night long. I don't know, I guess I'm a GEEK, but I love to watch all the "weird" sports. This is the only time I can sit down and watch Water polo, Weightlifting, Badmintion, Synchronize Diving, to name a few. I do stay up to watch Micheal Phelps. He is amazing and truly on of the best athletes I've ever seen. I'm glad to say that I was able to see him get all these gold medals and hope he gets this 8 for 8 this year.

We are doing the school shopping for Braydon and have one more trip up our sleeve before summers over but more on that later. Our camera is being stupid again so no pictures at this time.

Movin' On Up!!!

Braydon is officially "Movin' on Up" after graduating from kindergarten this past week. He had a good little program with both classes Mrs. Johnson taught this year. They sang songs and all looked very cute with their own little graduation caps. Braydon loved going to school and making new friends. I just hope his love for school continues to grow!!! I just can't believe he is actually 1st grader. Man, time flies!!!!

After his program, we hit the movie theaters at the Red Rock Casino. We went to see WALL-E. It was alright in my opinion but Braydon and Katie liked it. We than spent the rest of the afternoon-evening hanging out and not doing to much.

This next week, we will be up in Utah so you won't see a new post for a while but keep checking.

Take a look at some pictures from Braydon's Graduation in our Photo Album.
