End of the Summer Vacation!!!

We have spent the last 3 days in Carlsbad, CA to visit Legoland. We surprised Braydon with a family vacation. We didn't tell him where we were going. He didn't start the "ARE WE THERE YET?" until we were almost there. It is about a 5 hour drive from our house and that was taking our sweat ole time. Here is our Re-cap:

Friday: Arrive at Hotel and check-in. We still hadn't told Braydon were we were. In the front lobby was a big poster about Legoland and he then figured it out. Then off to the Beach. We played in the water for about an hour. Braydon loves the water and would live in it if he could. He was having so much fun that he went under the water and lost his sunglasses right off his face. He had to use my extra glasses for the rest of the trip. After the beach, we hit our hotel pool for an hour before we at dinner at a Islands:Fine Burgers & Drinks. It was good food but the service was not.

Saturday: Spent all day in Legoland. We all had a blast. Braydon loved looking at all the legos, riding all the rides (he is a brave little guy!!), and taking a break and actually playing with legos. While the parents wait in the long lines (the longest we had to wait was 60 minutes) the kids can play with legos in the "Play area" which makes the kids happy. Some of the people we got to see out of legos: Darth Vader, R2-D2, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Spongebob Squarepants, Batman, Indiana Jones to name a few. We bought a new camera specifically for our trip. When we arrived, we had forgotten our battery charger. Needless to say, we only got about 6 hours of photos from the entire trip. Well, at least we got some.

Sunday: Again, the whole day in Legoland. We got to see some shows and Braydon was even in one of them (again, no camera). Braydon also got to spend about an hour playing in the water at the Pirate Ship. Braydon was able to buy to lego sets: Batman and the Harley Quinn and Star Wars-Clone Wars: Anakin's Spaceship. We finished the night with dinner at In-N-Out Burgers. We love to eat there. Which reminds me to tell everyone that the In-N-Out by our house is officially open for business (so it's another reason to come visit us!!!)

Monday: Drive home. We checked out of the hotel about 10 am and arrived home about 4 pm.

Today: Back to reality with Braydon going to school today and I get a day to recuperate from the vacation. Take a look at our photo album for two new albums: Carlsbad Beach and Legoland
