Last Three Weeks in Review!!!

Christmas at the Rogers House:

We had Christmas morning with the Rogers. We woke up and Braydon opened his presents. Nanny and Papa and Grandpa and Grandma Holt were there to see him open his gifts. He must have been a good boy this year because he got almost everything he wanted. The Laniers came over and we ate breakfast and then opened more presents. After that, we went to Grandpa and Grandma Holt's house for more presents. We had church at 1 o'clock and attended my parents ward and then went up to Heber.

Christmas at the Moore's House:

On our way up to Heber, we stopped by Grandma Winnie's house to see her and to swap presents. Up at Heber, the Walkers were there and we began with dinner. We ate roast beef, turkey roast, yummy potatoes, rolls, it was GOOD!!! We then opened more presents and had a wonderful time. We ended the evening with a Texas Hold'em tournament. It was a $5.00 buy-in and the pot was worth $40.00. Katie and I ended up tieing (we were the last two in and decided to split the pot to end the game). Later that week, we took Braydon Ice Skating for the first time. He loved it, even though he fell a lot.

New Year's Eve:

We stayed up at the Moore's house between Christmas and New Years. The Walkers, Warenski's, all the Moore', and us had a party. We had another Texas Hold'em tournament. It was a $10.00 buy-in and the pot was $100.00. From the picture above, you can tell that I won the hundred dollars. We played for about 7 hours before I was declared the winner. I beat Nettie with a straight over her pair of Jacks. We did have breaks for putting kids to bed, treats, and mid-night fireworks. We all ended up going to bed around 2:30 am. Now I have to figure out what I'm doing with my winnings (Go to Vegas and double it!!!!)

Christmas in Flagstaff:

We took the long drive home back to Flagstaff yesterday. Braydon did great. He slept for the first half and then played with his leap pad, coloring books for the rest. Katie and I listened to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince the whole way home. We got about 1/3 the way through it. It seemed to make the time go faster. When we got home, Braydon knew that HO-HO left some presents here. He got some board games so we don't have to play the same games over and over again. Check out our Photo album for the four new albums we've posted. Now we are doing the 5 month countdown!!!

It was sure fun to have you guys here for the long Christmas/New Years break. After all the hype about Braydon bringing his Darth Vader suit, I'm surprised that Alex and Caleb only wore it once! We'll be counting down until May when we can see you again.
